Toni Collette is one of those actors who can make completely different characters feel believable, so following her filmography is always fun. I watched Nightmare Alley at a theater with a friend, and afterward we ended up discussing the performances over coffee for nearly an hour. Before choosing where to see it, I remember checking regal cinemas reviews because we wanted comfortable seats and a good screen for such a visually detailed movie. Since then, I have also caught up with Pieces of Her and The Staircase. Podcasts like this make me notice connections between an actor’s roles that I missed before.
