Ep 156: Cookin' w/ Quentin - Pulp Fiction

Here on Cookin' w/ Quentin, Mike Burdge, Jack Kolodziejski and Robby Anderson (as well as the occasional lucky guest) tackle the filmography of Quentin Tarantino, along the way stopping to develop some thematically inspired food for each installment.

This time around it's 1994's Pulp Fiction, Tarantino's second at bat as director, and the installment that one could argue defined his career for the foreseeable future. And, it just so happens, the boys were able to find someone who had never seen the film and knew next to nothing about it: super special guest, Stamper. They also ate some killer burgers.

1 cup Broccoli, finely chopped

1 cup Carrots, shredded

1 cup Red Onion, diced

1 can (15.5 oz) Pinto Beans, drained

1 tsp Cumin

1 tsp Garlic Powder

1 tsp Onion Powder

1 tsp Salt

1. Mash Pinto Beans in large bowl. Add remaining ingredients and mix well by hand.

2. Roll into balls and flatten. You can decide how big you want your patties to be. The bigger, the better!

3. In large frying pan over medium heat, add patties, browning one side for 3-5 minutes, then flip and brown other side, another 3-5 minutes.

4. Garnish with any buns, toppings, condiments you wish!

3 tbsp Vegan Mayonaisse (Avonaise works best!)

3 tsp Yellow Mustard

1 tsp Onion Powder

1 tsp Garlic Powder

3 tsp Paprika

1-2 tsp White Wine Vinegar

1. Combine all ingredients and mix very well. Chill for one hour and remix for best results.
